Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home having a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined home earnings doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish check here to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
