The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home by using a combined gross home income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want website not post any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open check here up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
